THE BEACH: Only 5 mins (450m) stroll away from the picturesque beach of Arenal d'en Castell. This is where you'll find the boardwalk which takes you to all the local shops and beachfront restaurants. Close enough to the beach and shops and just far enough to not be disturbed by any surrounding noise.
OUR VILLA: Our ground-floor menorcavilla will be your home away from home. You'll have an unrivaled large private & enclosed garden with multiple much-needed shaded patio areas with an additional 3-metre wide awning and more fantastic outdoor dining & playing space!
La Buganvilla is our home away from home and hopefully, soon it'll be yours too! We bought La Buganvilla in 2021 and personally renovated it with the express intention of creating a comfortable & fully equipped home for you and your family to enjoy during your stay. And every year since we have made additional improvements to help make your stay as perfect as we can.
THE POOL: There is a large (11 metre!) community swimming pool + private access via our own garden path.
ENTERTAINMENT: Lots of family games & toys (inc. Giant garden Jenga & Connect4, Mikado & Badminton set for 4! Free WiFi & smart TV (including Netflix, Amazon, HBOMax, Showtime & Disney+ Kids!)
As you'll see La Buganvilla is so unique! Even within the small complex itself.
You will have the largest private enclosed garden (430m², that's over 4500SqFt!), which is especially great for letting the kids run around safely, it's one of the many things our guests return for year after year! Your kids don't have to be cooped up when you are back from the beach or after an outing, you can rest while the kids play. You'll be so happy you booked this space!
Feel free to look around and we're confident that you won't find an equivalent space locally.
BEDROOMS: 2 bedrooms are available with a total of 3 beds (additional travel cot available on request), sleeping a maximum of 4 guests + an infant. Both bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning (which is a must-have!)
2 full bathrooms (quite unusual with local holiday lets) and a fully equipped kitchen, large living room with dining area.
The community swimming pool is only shared with 7 neighbours (6 privately owned holiday homes & 1 other tourist rental) in this small peaceful complex. The pool is larger than most surrounding properties, including villas with private pools (measuring 11 metres in length!) Our pool is long enough for some good laps and stays quiet most of the time with space around to lounge in the sun. It includes an outdoor shower for your convenience and a great place to wash off if you've just come back sandy from the beach.
We have lots of games and toys for the kids! Keep them entertained all day indoors and outdoors.
If you are tired and need a break, have a siesta! Spend some time in comfort & stay in. Watch our 55" Smart TV, which includes Netflix, Amazon, HBOMax, Disney+ & SKYShowtime, it really is streaming heaven. We've even installed an easily accessible HDMI input just in case you bring your own Amazon Firestick!
The beachfront is just around the corner (450m), with access from the boardwalk that spans most of the length of the beach. "In season" sun loungers and shade are available to rent on the beach. There is also a wash station at the base of the stairs to wash sand off feet etc.
You will have beach towels, bamboo mats, and a parasol at your disposal. And for your convenience, we also have a cool box with a freezer drawer full of artificial ice to keep your refreshments cool. And for the kids, lots of toys including balls, bats, frisbees, buckets and spades.
KEEP COOL: We have 3 new A+++ air conditioning units, one in the living room and in both bedrooms, don't kid yourselves when searching for a property here in Menorca, air conditioning is a must-have in EVERY ROOM in the summer months. We don't have pay-as-you-use or coin-operated systems! Comfort at your fingertips. Also, the main bedroom has a ceiling fan, and additional portable fans are supplied for your convenience.
STAY CONNECTED: With high speed WiFi and our recently upgraded light switches and plug sockets. In the bedrooms, you will now find integrated 20W USB A&C connectivity for fast-charging your devices in addition to the living room hub and wireless phone charger. Just don't forget your USB cable!
KITCHEN: In the kitchen, you can save yourself €€€'s and help the environment with our water reverse-osmosis system. Drinking water literally on tap! No need to buy litres and plastic bottles from the shop and carry them back and you can help us reduce plastic waste! There is also a dishwasher and washing machine with multiple clothes lines in the sun or sheltered area for your convenience.
If you are coming for a winter stay (out of season)? Fantastic, to keep you warm we have a pellet burner, a small radiator, bathroom inferred heaters, and 3 heating air conditioners.
This Villa is a great base for exploring the island in the off-season, you get apartment prices for villa accommodation! Close to the beach, the airport, Mahon, and some of the walking trails (Camí de Cavalls).
We welcome out-of-season travelers as well!
Car hire is highly recommended for out-of-season visits.
